Here are some comments from
experienced horse people who use Hoffman’s Horse Ration. Vickie Tait: Eagle Feather Riding, I have been feeding the Hoffman’s Horse Ration
for 7 months and we have been thrilled with the amazing people at Country
Junction Feeds and their desire to please the customer. The Hoffman’s Horse Ration we are also
thrilled at. I was a life timer of
feeding my horses oats, and now forever they will be on Hoffman’s Horse
Ration. Thank you. We run a “horsemanship” place, a place for
horses and people to live in harmony with each other. Our web site is eaglefeatherriding.ab.ca Wanda Austin, My barrel horse- Doya Wana Dance--aka Chance- is 18 years old. I
put Chance on the Ration 2 months before the ABRA finals. I noticed he
did seem to be calmer during his runs at jackpots leading up to the
finals in Camrose. At the finals, he ran very smooth, very consistent,
precise runs. I was on a horse now that was thinking thru his run, and
he knew when he had to move over a bit so we would have a nice turn, and knew
when he should rate down a bit for a turn, it was no longer a mad dash in and
out. Also, after the ABRA finals were over, he usually looked stressed;
he would lose the shine from his hair coat, and would look stressed. This
year however, he looked the same the day we arrived as he did the day we
left- just a calmer, happier horse. And I am happy to say that we had our
best finals to date, and I came away from the ABRA finals in 6th place in the
overall One other thing that I found interesting with feeding the ration is that Chance seems to have a delicate stomach. In the past, I have tried feeding him Sweet Feed along with his oats, but he colicked. At first I didn't think it could be the sweet feed doing that, so a couple of weeks later, I again fed him some, same thing, mild colic. Another time I fed him some beet pulp- first thing I know, he is flat out on his side- another bout of mild colic. So after that I was very careful what I fed him- he just got whole oats and good hay. He never had any adverse reaction what so ever to the Hoffman's Horse Ration.
